Natalie’s extensive experience in the communications field includes developing content for websites, presentations, marketing packages, media kits, blogs, research reports, newsletters, magazines and books. As an editor, she works with writers, publishers and organizations to craft dynamic and impeccable copy that will connect with target audiences. As a journalist, she has covered a variety of fields, including education, media and healthcare.
Natalie develops communications content and strategies for not-for-profit organizations and for-profit corporations in retail, service and business-to-business industries. She creates materials and presentations to support customer relationship management, talent management, and new business development.
In the business-to-business field, Natalie has authored, co-authored and edited research reports on the media industry including publications analyzing the communications industry, mobile and social media, branded entertainment, digital out-of-home media, alternative marketing, and word-of-mouth marketing. She has also authored, co-authored and edited research reports and newsletters analyzing topics relevant to the managed healthcare industry.
In the consumer market, Natalie has written articles for education and parenting publications such as Our Children (National PTA), Teacher Magazine (Editorial Projects in Education), Westchester Family (Dominion Parenting Media), and TeachHUB.com (K-12 Teachers Alliance). She is the author of The Teacher Chronicles: Confronting the Demands of Students, Parents, Administrators and Society (Laurelton Media, 2008). She has appeared on the Oprah & Friends Radio Network and PTA Radio to discuss how parents and teachers can develop constructive relationships.
Drawing on her research, Natalie created the workshop “Building Successful Parent-Teacher Partnerships.” In the workshop, she offers teachers and parents effective strategies for improving communication and strengthening relationships.
Natalie edited the book Film Is Hell: How I Sold My Soul to Make the Crappiest Movies in History, by Matthew Howe (Laurelton Media, 2009), and The Awesome Foursome: The Essential Components of Optimal Health and Total Fitness, by Irwin Schwartz, Ed.D. (Laurelton Media, 2010).
Natalie began her career as a reporter for a weekly newspaper in Westchester County, New York, covering primarily town politics and local school systems. In 1992, she joined Communications Trends, a business-to-business publisher of newsletters and research reports covering various media and communications industries. Communications Trends was later acquired by Simba Information, where Natalie was promoted to managing editor. During her stint at Simba Information, Natalie wrote and edited newsletters, research reports and magazine articles covering a variety of fields, including the market for K-12 and college instructional materials. She was responsible for developing and launching new products and overseeing acquired properties. She also made presentations at industry conferences in the United States and Europe. In 1998, Natalie joined Corporate Research Group as a managing editor. At Corporate Research Group, she wrote newsletters, research reports and e-mail bulletins on the health insurance industry. Natalie joined Laurelton Media in 2000.
Natalie graduated with distinction from Cornell University in 1991 and received a bachelor’s degree in Communication.
